Alternatives Capital Formation (ACF) is part of the Client Solutions Group (CSG) within Asset Management. ACF manages capital raising and strategy for alternative investments including private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, growth equity, sustainability, secondaries, GP stakes, and hedge funds / liquid alternatives. Within ACF, team members work within product verticals and collaborate across strategies to identify portfolio-wide solutions. They also partner with other teams within ACF, and across CSG, investing teams and wealth management teams. Professional development initiatives provide opportunities to enhance expertise across alternative investment products, and to sharpen market knowledge from industry experts investing across the Firm. This specific ACF role sits with the External Investing Group ("XIG"), as part of the Vintage Strategies.
About Vintage Strategies. The Vintage Platform is Goldman Sachs Asset Management's dedicated secondary investing platform that sits within the External Investing Group . The Vintage Funds, which provide liquidity solutions to private market limited partner investors and general partner fund managers, represent a flagship of Goldman Sachs' alternatives franchise, with leadership in the secondaries space since 1998. Since inception, the Vintage Funds have raised nine globally diversified secondary funds and four strategy-specific vehicles, having invested over $75bn across more than 700 secondary transactions.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Principal Responsibilities
• Support senior Product Specialists within Vintage, Goldman Sachs' dedicated secondaries investment platform, helping to launch new flagship funds and all capital raising initiatives
• Collaborate directly with the secondaries investing team on overall fund strategies, direction and mandate
• Select investor interaction with new and existing institutional investors on due diligence inquiries, regular portfolio updates, ongoing investor requests and ad hoc client projects
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the firm, help to define strategic direction and develop and execute go-to-market strategies for our funds, define target investors, draft marketing materials, track order book versus goals
• Produce and update investor materials for various Vintage strategies, including marketing presentations, performance and data analysis, update calls; Utilize intelligence gained from investor inquiry to thoughtfully construct investor materials and effectively distribute the fund / vehicles
• Help complete due diligence questionnaires, recurring client/consultant questionnaires; prioritize and manage workflow in the context of multiple competing priorities
• Coordinate closely with investment team and other internal stakeholders such as legal, risk management, operations, compliance, controllers and tax in order to effectively respond to inbound investor requests and inquiries
• Effectively articulate to internal and external stakeholders the Vintage investment strategy and role secondaries plays within an investor's portfolio
• Respond to questions internally from senior management and sales channels (private wealth, institutional, third-party distribution) related to Vintage funds and the secondaries platform Qualifications
• 3+ years in a similar or related role, previous experience in Investment Banking or Investing also applicable
• Strong interest in private markets
• Excellent communication (written and oral), analytical and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and flexibility to manage production of a high volume of quality work within tight timeframes, often including multiple simultaneous projects
• Attention to detail-proven experience of delivering high levels of accuracy

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $100000-$170000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
